Dear Wilma,
just a brief note to say we really enjoyed and appreciated our short stay at your Kambro cottages. In retrospect, it would have been nice to have spent 3 or more nights in the area. Interestingly, of our 15day tour of the N, W and E Cape, my wife and I and two daughters all agreed that two places which left the best and most indelible memories in our minds were Kambro and Cape Town.
The things my family enjoyed most during our stay at Kambro:
- swimming in the refreshing waters of the reservoir, with the "windpomp" spinning quietly in the warm Karoo afternoon breeze.
- the tasty items available at the farm stall. The repeated visiting of my children to the stall speaks for itself!
- a sunset braai under the cool shade of our cottage's Eucalyptus camaldulensis tree (photo attached)
- the scent of the Karoo vegetation between sunset and morning.
- an early morning run with oldest daughter up the nearest koppie to watch the sun rise: the scents, colours and quietness of the Karoo landscape (photo attached).
I really hope we get an opportunity to return to your part of the world one day.

Geagte Gerhard & Wilma

Hiermee wil ons u graag bedank vir die lekker nag wat ons by u kon deurbring in die karavaanpark. (23 Junie 2006).

Dit was ons eerste oornagstop op 'n toer van 7 686 km en 21 dae deur Namibia.

Ons het in hierdie tydperk by talle karavaanparke oornag (Upington, Keetmanshoop, Windhoek, Mariental, Etosha, Swakopmund, Ai-Ais, Ceres, Citrusdal, ATKV Hartenbos, Buffelsbaai).

Toe ons tuis kom en "vergadering" hou oor die vakansie wou ons weet waar die kinders nou eintlik die lekkerste gekamp het. Ons seun van 13 jaar het beslis geantwoord dat hy die lekkerste by u gekamp het en dat hy graag weer daar wil gaan kamp. Ons was baie verbaas maar soos hulle sê, uit die mond van die suigeling sal jy die waarheid hoor.

Die ontvangs was baie goed, die kamp was netjies en die ablusie geriewe puik. U kan verseker wees dat ons u by al ons karavaan vriende sal aanbeveel vir 'n oornag stop of vir 'n afkoel vakansie in stilte.

We are back in Gaborone after our long vacation in South Africa.
The stay at your place was very comfortable and we enjoyed the place.
I wish to thank you for your lovely gesture to have given us the Wine for the New Year. It was so thoughful of you.
May be some time we will again spend a day at Kambro.
We also took a snap of our chalet so that we we can take our sweet memories back to India.
